Welcome to
Blue Heron Equine
Massage Therapies
Meet the founder of Blue Heron Equine Massage Therapies, Lauraine Rivier
I have ridden, owned, and shown horses most of my life. Starting in hunters as a teen and moving into the jumper arena as a young adult, I eventually found my way into dressage. Showing has been a part of my life for multiple decades, which brings me an understanding and appreciation of what equine bodies can go through to be a successful competitor.
With a background in research science, I blend a mixture of myofascial release, sport massage, and acupressure.
My goal is to be part of the team that makes your horse the best it can be.
Enhance your horse’s performance
Increase career longevity
Improve overall disposition
Ease training resistance
What are the potential benefits of horse massage?
Massage is a powerful step toward unlocking your horse’s full potential. Muscular pain is the leading cause of many behavioral issues and dips in performance, yet it often goes unnoticed by even the most attentive owners. Horses often hide discomfort, which can make early signs of pain easy to miss. Massage therapy helps identify and relieve muscle tension, improving circulation, flexibility, and range of motion. It can not only ease discomfort and prevent injury, but it can also lengthen your horse’s riding career. A horse free from pain moves with greater grace, listens with more focus, and performs more confidently.
